Brandon has been an Actor/Producer/Writer/Director since 2003 when he & Braden Palmer started Restraining Hollywood. Since then, Restraining Hollywood has released three feature films including “Up North”, “People Talk” & “Trust Me”. Brandon’s goal as a filmmaker is to keep things as bizarre and interesting as possible by combining different genres into each film, making it hard for the typical viewer to categorize. Brent Stariha has been involved in the talent business for six years and has enjoyed a wide variety of acting roles including a troubled young man in "Womb Music," a hard driving, drinker in "Ru-bi-kon," and a goth AA member in “Trust Me”.  Besides his film acting credits, Brent has also completed numerous print and commercial projects around the Twin Cities.

Although the start of Doug Sidney's acting career began in 1977 when he appeared in nationally advertised spots for Marshall Field's and Tonka Toys, his professional on-camera acting career began six years ago in Minneapolis when he resumed his commercial work and added film to his resume.  Since then, Douglas has appeared in 24 locally produced films, both feature- and short-length, landing leading roles in 14 projects. Notable films to date include: "Harrowville," Empty Fuller," "...Please Press Three," "The Weight of Darkness," "Hitman Daydream," "Dolls," "Blind Fate," and the recently completed short, "Mirror Mirror on the Wall," a national finalist in Project:Direct in conjunction with the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. He has semi-pro soccer experience with California, Indiana, and Minnesota clubs and welcomes demanding, athletic roles.

Pete Duffy is from the Twin Cities area with experience in acting ranging from print ads and commercials, all the way to major motion pictures. He has been in the industry since the age of 14 and had the fortunate opportunity to work on “Miracle” with some highly accredited actors such as Kurt Russell, Patricia Clarkson, Noah Emmerich , Eddie Cahill, and many others. Coming from his home town of Prior Lake, Minnesota , Pete is looking to continue making a career in the acting arenas of film and T.V. on the national level.

KariAnn Craig - SHERIFF

KariAnn is originally from Stewartville, Minnesota and has an extensive performance background. She toured internationally three years with the Disney on Ice production of “Beauty and the Beast”.  She has worked with many theatre companies including Fantasy Children’s Theatre Company (CA school tour), the Delta King Theatre Co., Theatre in the Park Players, Stewartville Civic, Rochester Civic Repertory, Actors’ Theatre of Sacramento, and B Street Theatre.  KariAnn has also worked on over a dozen short and feature films including “The Telephone Game”, “Horror House”, “Tuscamehe”, Waterheater”, and “Why Am I In a Box”. She also works on commercials and print modeling.

Matt Kowalski - DEPUTY

Producer/director/writer/actor Matt Kowalski wrapped his first independent feature film, “Dying Midwestern,” in 2007. Matt has also acted in Warner Bros. “Little Big League,” as well as for the award-winning Minneapolis film troupe The High Def-Chefs. He currently is Vice-President of Rapid Productions Inc., a Minnesota company that specializes in industrial video production.  Matt has also recently teamed up with Restraining Hollywood LLC and has multiple feature film projects in the works to be released in 2010. He graduated from Brown College in 2006 with an A.S. degree in Television Production. Matt is the father of four children and lives in Blaine, Minnesota. Read Matt's Minnewood.com interview.
